Two men are nearing the end of an important race. The crowd is screaming as they whiz by on their bicycles. They both have been working months for this one race that in their minds is the most important thing in the world. The two had been trailing each other for miles, trading back and forth in their placing. But finally, with the end of the race near, they realized that someone was going to have to win and the other lose. They had grown fond of each other - from the start of the race, they had sped past the rest and carried first and second place from the start. They traded places, blocking the wind from one another, but as the finish line drew near, they knew someone was going to have to lose. As the rounded the last turn, the man slightly ahead lost control of his bike and went careening off of the course. The second man, sorry for his friend continued on and finished the race.
